Sarcophagus mask with a partially preserved fragment of a wig above the forehead painted yellow with traces of black polychrome. It is separated from the forehead by cherry-red and black bands. The eyes are relatively large, with black rims, pupils, and eyebrows; the whites are white. The nose is long, quite narrow, widening evenly towards the nostrils. The mouth is primitively modeled. A fragment of the neck is preserved under the chin. The face is painted cherry-red. Partially preserved mounting pegs at the back. 332–30 BC; Ptolemaic Period, Egypt. Sarcophagus mask; height 25.7 cm, width 18 cm, thickness 8.2 cm., A weathered carved wooden profile of a human face with a pronounced nose and lips, shown against a plain gray background; the surface is rough and eroded with visible cracks and holes, and patches of faded pink and reddish pigment mixed with natural brown and beige wood tones, along with some darker gray-brown areas.
