Fragment of a votive boat, votive offering; prowl or stern of a boat with decoration in the form of glued appliqués. On the sides from the top: four lion heads. On the deck: palmette, fish, sitting cat with a disc above its back, cartouche half preserved. On the outside sides: two fish, four lion heads, four rosettes, three cats with a disc, two falcons with a uraeus behind their backs, four falcons with a neb symbol and a nechacha whip behind them one partially preserved, two en face faces, two rosettes one partially preserved. The bottom of the boat is smooth, slightly convex. Blue glaze, discolored black in places., glazed faience. Date: c. 30 BC–395 AD, Roman period Egypt. Function: votive offering. Dimensions: height 4.5 cm, width 11 cm, depth 8.9 cm., A triangular fragment of a sculpted object with a textured, weathered surface in shades of turquoise, teal, blue, sandy beige, and areas of dark gray to black. The fragment shows a recessed central area with raised, irregular forms that suggest molded shapes, including a rounded protrusion near the top and layered, organic contours toward the middle and bottom. The edges are rough and broken, with one side showing a darker, mottled band. The overall surface has a mix of smooth glazed areas and granular, eroded patches, displaying variations of turquoise and beige where the material appears worn.
