Fragment of a terra sigillata plate. Fragment of the rim of a deep plate with a flat, wide rim and a frieze with predatory animals. On the preserved fragment, facing right: a lioness on the right, with short fur marked with circles and a panther with longer fur jumping. Orange clay, red glaze. Dimensions of the entire plate can be reconstructed as approx. 43.9 cm in diameter, 7.6 cm in height. Late 3rd–4th century, Tunisia. Plate, width 13.4 cm, length 22.1 cm., A curved fragment of reddish-brown pottery with a raised rim showing impressions of animal figures, set against a light gray background; the pottery surface has small pale flecks and worn areas revealing a lighter beige clay at broken edges, and the impressed figures and rim show subtle variations of the reddish-brown color with slightly darker and lighter tones.
