Dilekyt, unknown Eastern workshop Syrian or Palestinian. Glass vessel, Roman Empire, 3rd century. The vessel consists of two tubes connected at one side with a flat bottom. The outer sides are gently curved toward the axis and decorated with two thick wavy glass threads that begin with thickenings at one-third of the vessel's height and terminate at the rings of the slightly flared spouts. At the joints of the threads and spouts, a large bow-shaped vice is supported, wider on one side than the other and narrowed at the top. Vessel; height 15.7 cm, width 7.3 cm, depth 2.3 cm., A translucent glass vessel with a rounded base and a narrow neck topped by a curved handle, the glass showing a mix of green and pale blue hues with areas of darker green, a pair of decorative twisted glass appendages on either side forming wavy sculpted shapes, the surface showing small imperfections and cloudy areas, set against a plain light gray background.
