The narrow, low neck is as high as the rim. The rim is cup-shaped. The handle is ribbon-shaped, vertical. The front is decorated with a bar ornament at the base of the neck. The belly and arms depict a seated woman facing left: legs in profile left extended, right withdrawn, hips three-quarters en face, arms frontal, head in left profile. The left arm is wrapped around a himation, the hand resting on the hip; the right hand is outstretched, above which lies a tossed circular object of two light-colored parts ball or skein of wool?, each with a single black dot and separated by a dark stripe. Height 10.8 cm; diameter 8.1 cm., A dark rounded ceramic vessel with a single curved handle and a narrow flaring neck sits against a gray background; the surface is predominantly black with areas of dark brown and worn lighter spots, and there are a few swirling decorative shapes in an orange tone on one side, while the rim and base show weathered gray and lighter abrasions.
