Terracotta figurine of Heracles, terracotta, figurines of nude men, Heracles mythology, Greek mythology, figurines made of molds. Figurine of a standing naked Heracles in a contrapposto pose with a cloak thrown over his back; his right hand rests on a rock and in his left he probably holds a club. Condition of preservation: good. 2nd–1st century BC, Asia Minor, height 14.3 cm., A weathered stone figure shown in profile against a plain gray background, with a rounded head and simplified facial features, a sloping back, and an overall elongated, upright silhouette; the surface shows rough texture, scratches, and chips with areas of worn patina and faint traces of color in shades of light tan, beige, pale pink, muted brown, and small hints of yellow.
