Narrow neck ending in a wide rim. Ribbon-shaped handle attached to the neck and to the upper surface of the vessel. Appliqué with a female head glued to the upper surface of the vessel. The head depicted is probably Medusa, surrounded by a wreath of intertwined snakes. The finish is black, shiny, worn in places, particularly on the handle and the edge of the rim. Light orange clay. Handle and neck cracked and glued.
