Black-finned aryballois lekythos, /workshop. Repossession Silesia. Lekythos in black-finned pottery. Large, ring-shaped foot. Body rather squat, barrel-shaped with rounded shoulders. Neck quite narrow, clearly separated from the body, and a flaring rim. Upper part of the body has a slightly irregular clay-colored orange band not covered with finnis; on it, at the front, a rather carelessly executed meander interrupted with black paint. Upper part of the vice is tilted to the left. Condition: minor chips, rim edge worn. 1st half of the 19th century; 4th century BC. Unknown place of origin. Vessel lekythos. Height 10.9 cm, diameter 5.4 cm., A single ceramic vessel photographed against a neutral gray background, featuring a narrow flared rim atop a tall neck that connects to a squatter rounded body and a low circular base; the surface shows a worn black finish with a horizontal band of tan clay around the upper body and scattered small lighter speckles and chips across the black areas, and the neck and rim display areas of abrasion and uneven texture revealing the underlying material.
