Male figurine, unknown Boeotian workshop. Standing man on a high quadrangular base, arched at the back. The weight of the body rests on the right leg, the left leg slightly forward. Torso naked at the front, leaning backward with the right hip protruding; slender body. A robe draped over the shoulders and covering the back conceals the hands. Head slightly tilted to the right; face treated schematically with large eyes. In the lowered right hand the figure holds an elongated object, while the left hand presses a round vessel to the chest. The base is covered with a visible strip of brown paint; the figurine bears traces of red-pink polychrome and the eyes were covered with white paint. 5th–4th century BC earlier dating: mid-5th century BC. Boeotia. Terracotta figurine, height 27 cm, width 6.8 cm, depth 6 cm, weight 0.31 kg., A weathered standing figurine shown in profile, carved from a clay-like material with a rough, pitted surface and worn edges; the figure has a simplified human form with a head tilted slightly upward, a defined nose and chin, a long torso, and stylized legs and feet standing on a rectangular base. The surface shows patches of muted pink, pale white, earthy tan, rusty orange, and small areas of yellow, with darker speckles and abrasions across the form. The background is a flat gray.
