On the reverse — a stylized floral-geometric ornament. 18th century, Russia. Icon. Height 5.8 cm; width 5.2 cm., A small rectangular relief panel in a metallic gold color is centered against a plain light gray background; the panel shows a raised depiction of two robed figures with halos, one larger holding the smaller on their lap, with detailed folds in the garments and ornamental borders around the scene, and there are a few decorative motifs carved into the panel's surface.
