Steep shoulders, cylindrical neck ending in a straight rim. Cylindrical vises, oval in cross-section, are attached to the lower part of the shoulders and to the middle part of the neck. Entire body has grooves of varying density and size; the densest are in the lower and upper parts. No cylindrical foot. Brown, alluvial clay Naqlun AC1A ceramic type. Outer surface brown and even. Interior and the upper outer surface of the neck coated with a black resinous substance. Dated 2nd half of the 4th–5th century. Findspot: Edfu. Vessel amphora.
