Jug, unknown Aswan workshop. Jug with a rounded rim, a narrow and upwardly flaring neck with a ring-shaped flange. Spherical body with a large ribbon-shaped handle attached to the lower part of the body and the middle part of the neck. Ring-shaped foot. Traces of turning are slightly smoothed. Exterior covered with red-brown engobe; interior beige-pink, even. Kaolin ceramic mass Gempeler type IA. Egyptian sigillata/Coptic pottery, tableware, kaolin clay. 5th–6th century. Findspot: Edfu. Vessel jug. Height 14.1 cm; lip diameter 2.4 cm; neck diameter 1.8 cm; body diameter 11.4 cm; base diameter 4.6 cm., A round, worn clay vessel sits centered against a smooth grey background, showing a top view with a small central opening and a short spout. The vessel displays a mix of reddish-brown and beige tones, with patches of lighter beige where the surface appears chipped or eroded, and circular ridges encircling the opening. The grey background appears uniform with subtle darker grey shading toward one side.
