In the middle wing, on a rearing horse, St. Demetrius is shown driving a spear into the body of Lias, who is lying under his hooves. The preserved side wing depicts the Descent into Hell and the Ascension. Above the central wing is the Mandylion, framed by two cherubs. The cast form is simple and slightly archaic. The left side wing is missing, and the upper left hinge is damaged. 18th century, Russia. Triptych two wings; height 8.5 cm, width 9.3 cm., A rectangular metal object with a hinged flap sits against a plain light gray background; the metal has a patina of brownish bronze and darker brown areas with hints of greenish oxidation. The main panel shows a shallow, V-shaped impression and an overall mottled texture in bronze and brown tones, while the hinged flap to the left displays similar brown and bronze coloring with slightly darker mottling. Along the top edge a decorative cutout features a pair of symmetrical, stylized animal-like shapes in darker brown metal, and the bottom edge shows a thin lip with darker brown shading. Overall the image presents a weathered bronze and brown metal object with small areas of darker brown and subtle greenish tints.
