Inscribed; icon covers; book iconography; saints; evangelists. 17th–18th century, Russian; cover; height 9.4 cm, width 6.7 cm., Three irregularly shaped metal plates with worn, corroded surfaces are shown against a pale gray background. The plates have a mix of brownish copper and gray-green patina, with areas of lighter off-white corrosion. Each piece has rounded, sculpted edges and small round holes near some corners. The upper plate is oriented upside down relative to the two lower plates, which sit side by side with similar shapes and uneven, textured surfaces in brown, copper, gray, and off-white tones.
