Terracotta figurine of a girl throwing dice. Figurine of a crouching girl throwing dice: weight of the body rests on the left leg bent at a right angle. Dressed in a long, finely pleated, sleeveless chiton. Hair tied in a bun and bound with a wide headband kredemnos. Earring visible in the left ear. Entire figurine rests on a rectangular base. Preservation: missing the right arm; glued in several places head; left arm from 2 fragments; robe; base from 3 fragments. Part of the base filled with clay and plaster. Date: 4th–3rd century BC. Place of origin: Tanagra Greece. Material/type: terracotta mold figurine, Tanagrian style. Dimensions: height 13 cm, width 9 cm, depth 4.5 cm., A small carved figure of a person seated on a rectangular base, shown against a plain gray background; the figure wears draped clothing with visible folds and has hair pulled back into a bun, with traces of reddish-brown and pale beige pigments across the surface and areas of worn white and gray; the sculpture shows surface cracks and chips revealing underlying earthy brown and tan tones, and the base has a muted terracotta color with a faint reflection below.
