Figurine of Leda with a Swan, A woman sits on a rock and feeds a swan standing next to her. She is dressed in a cloak thrown over her head and back that falls along her body, completely enveloping her legs while leaving the rest of her body exposed. In her right hand, resting on her knees, she holds a platter; with her left arm bent and extended she holds it above the swan, which rests on her exposed hip with its head extended toward her. The woman bows her head and looks at the swan. The swan has outstretched wings. The woman's sandaled feet do not rest on the rock but dangle. The square base forms one with the rock. Cloak painted pink. Inscription/note: Maria Bernhard, 01.06.1942. Mid-3rd century BC, Myrina. Terracotta figurine, height 24 cm, width 15 cm, depth 12 cm, weight 0.56 kg., A weathered sculptural object is shown from the back, depicting a draped form seated on a textured base with rough, organic shapes and an empty rectangular cavity near the lower center; the surface shows worn, flaking areas with visible irregular streaks and patches in shades of brown, beige, off-white, and hints of pale pink, against a neutral gray background.
