The face bears a plastic representation of a scorpion facing left, arranged horizontally in the central part. The relief contours are not distinct, blending with the background. Above the animal, in the corners, are the relief Greek letters GY, below EAN. Loss in the upper left corner. Mid-4th century BC, Byzantion, weight. Dimensions: height 5 cm, width 5 cm, depth 0.7 cm; weight 214.1 g., A square, textured object with rounded corners sits centered against a light gray background; the object is dark gray to charcoal with a rough, uneven surface showing raised and indented areas, including a few smooth shiny patches and some lighter gray highlights; the surface has irregular contours that suggest carved or molded forms and a few shallow depressions and ridges across its face.
