Bowl, Egyptian workshop; mosaic glass; floral patterns in blue, purple, yellow, green, and white. Bowl with a flat bottom whose walls widen evenly towards the top then narrow at the rim, cut flat at the top. Made of thick glass using the mosaic technique. Type: Isings form 1. Semicircular bowl; sagging on the form; 1st century, Roman Empire; vessel; height 3 cm, width 13.5 cm., A shallow bowl with a scalloped rim sits against a pale gray background, showing a marbled surface of swirling blue, brown, cream, and white tones. The exterior displays a pattern of rounded, eye-like swirls and irregular patches where the colors blend, with areas of rough texture and small flakes. The rim has a repeating diagonal stripe effect in cream and dark brown, and there are a few notches cut into the rim. The inside edge echoes the exterior colors and marbling, and the bowl rests on a reflective surface that mirrors the blue and brown hues.
