Ampoule, Egyptian workshop, 4th century BC, vessel, height 5.2 cm, width 4.2 cm, A rounded ceramic vessel displayed against a plain gray background, showing a bulbous body with a narrow neck and a flared rim; the surface of the vessel is mottled with beige, tan, light brown, and small darker brown speckles, with areas of lighter cream and pale gray; two looped handles rise from the shoulder, each with a coiled rope-like attachment that curves down and around the base, the rope-like element appearing in similar beige and tan tones with shadowed ridges; the rim has a hooked metal loop inserted, which is dark brown with a slightly rusty patina; the vessel surface shows small pitted holes and textured wear in various spots, and a slightly darker circular area is visible on the front of the body.
