Ampoule, Egyptian workshop, 3rd century, Roman Empire 27 BC–476, vessel, height 12 cm, width 7.3 cm, A tall narrow glass vessel with a flared rim, shown upright against a light gray background, appears translucent pale green with areas of cloudy white and brown discoloration; a twisted ribbon of thicker green glass runs along the interior from near the neck down toward the base, creating a rippled pattern inside the body; the surface shows small bubbles and irregularities and a worn, slightly iridescent sheen, and the base is rounded with a small droplet-like protrusion.
