Black-finned skyphos, early 4th century BC, Attica. Thick-walled skyphos with two handles, deep bowl on a low profiled foot. Interior: stamped ornament with six palmettes; inside the circle two concentric circles with ovules between them; surrounded by a band of ovules between two engraved lines. Outer part of the foot decorated with concentric circular elements. Technology: evenly distributed varnish, matte, visible turning marks; admixtures: mica, pyroxene. Clay color 2.5 YR 6/6 light red. Varnish color 10 YR 2/1 black. Vessel skyphos.
