Axe head, unknown Phoenician workshop; Phoenicia Lebanon; 18th–17th century BC. Militaria — edged weapon: axe head with a narrow, elongated blade and a socket for the handle set closer to the butt. Both sides of the socket opening are decorated with a convex shaft in the form of an arch. Weight 610 g., A single elongated metal object photographed against a light gray background, showing a dark brown to nearly black patina with areas of lighter brown rust and wear; the top has an oval opening surrounded by thicker metal, the shaft narrows below that and tapers to a pointed end, with surface irregularities and pitting visible along its length and subtle shine on smoother sections.
