Hornakht's shabti, back pillars, hieroglyphs, wigs, beards facial hair. Hornakht ca. 525–30 BC. Funerary figurine mummy-shaped shabti, standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over the left. In the right hand a long-bladed hoe and two strings from which hangs a semicircular basket on the back, slightly above the elbow; in the left hand a whip. Hands and tools engraved. Long, three-part smooth wig; long straight beard of uniform width. Face with coarse features, roughly defined eyes, wide nose, prominent mouth set in a slight smile. Right ear significantly larger than the left. Inscription carved in a single column on the front from chin to feet, naming the deceased Hornakht and his mother content otherwise unclear. Date: 664–30 BC Late Period–Ptolemaic. Egypt. Shabti. Height 11.6 cm; width 3.1 cm., A standing statuette of a human figure with a headdress and stylized beard, rendered in a weathered beige and light brown stone with darker brown spots and small holes, arms held close to the body and hands along the sides, vertical carved panels with shallow incised marks along the front of the body, a narrow tapered lower body ending on a rectangular base, the figure mounted on a textured ochre-colored rectangular block, all set against a smooth neutral gray background.
