Amulet — goddess Seshat;, Dark brown glass; Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC, Egypt. Depicts Seshat Egyptian goddess associated with writing, harp iconography. Amulet; height 3.4 cm, width 1.7 cm., A roughly rectangular, irregularly shaped metal object with a rough, pitted surface is shown against a plain light gray background; the object has a dark brown to nearly black patina with areas of metallic sheen and hints of greenish corrosion, and there are a few strokes of bright red paint on its surface; the top edge is uneven with a protruding curved nub on one side and a rounded raised area on the other, the lower edge flares slightly and has a small attached rectangular fragment of brownish material with a worn appearance.
