Figurine of a goddess possibly Neith. Standing woman in a narrow dress with straps; dress decorated with a mesh motif of rhombuses with dots; straps decorated with vertical and horizontal stripes. Wears a necklace. Head, feet, and left hand missing; right hand hangs alongside the body. c. 945–c. 715 BC, Third Intermediate Period, 22nd Dynasty, Egypt. Terracotta figurine, height 11.3 cm, width 3 cm, weight 0.19 kg., A long, narrow object with a curved, tapered shape shown against a plain light gray background; its surface is predominantly dark brown to black with areas of reddish-brown and rusty red visible near the top and along a central strip, and there are patches of greenish corrosion in one spot; the object is decorated with a repeating geometric pattern of interlocking circles or flower-like motifs painted in a metallic gold color, with several gold dots accompanying the pattern and a few horizontal gold bands near the top; the texture appears uneven and worn, with rough, pitted areas and smoother painted sections.
