Figurine of the goddess Bastet. Figurine of a goddess with a cat's head, dressed in a tight-fitting, engraved robe. In her right hand she holds a bow sistrum, in her left an aegis, and she has a basket slung over her left forearm. Sistrum; aegis; Egyptian deities; Egyptian religion; Egyptian art. Figurine; height 9 cm, width 3.8 cm, depth 2 cm., A small standing figurine with a rough textured surface in shades of brown and dark brown, shown from the back on a square base that is a darker brown with lighter scuffs. The figure wears a long, vertically ridged garment extending to the ankles and has a narrow, elongated form. The head has two pointed protrusions and the shoulders are slightly rounded. One arm is bent and holds a rounded object with a handle-like element, while the other arm is raised with a bent elbow. The surface shows uneven pitting and small areas of lighter brown where the texture catches light. The background is a smooth pale gray.
