Head of a priest figurine, A man's head fragment of a statuette, completely devoid of hair. Excavated bony skull structure, expanded in the rear, upper part highly vaulted. Small, narrow eyes with heavy, drooping eyelids; fleshy nose flattened at tip with wide, thick nostrils. Deep furrows and wrinkles under the eyes and around the nose and mouth; fleshy, schematically developed ears, right ear slightly flattened. With base. c. 747–656 BC; Third Intermediate Period, 25th Dynasty, Egypt. Sculpture. Height 4.7 cm; width 3.5 cm; depth 4 cm., A small sculpted head displayed on a square base sits on a clear rectangular pedestal; the head is dark brown to black with lighter brown and grayish speckling across its textured surface, showing a smooth rounded skull, closed or softly carved eyes, a subtle nose and mouth, and slightly protruding ears, with some rougher patches and lighter flecks near the lower neck area, while the base is black and the background is a uniform light gray.
