New Year's canteen, Goluchów Greater Poland Voivodeship. Flat round faience canteen with a narrow short neck ending in a chipped spout shaped like a papyrus capital, decorated on both sides with plastic figurines of crouching baboons elbows on knees, paws supporting the muzzle. A floral necklace is depicted in relief on both sides of the neck, and a hieroglyphic text runs along the narrow sides. Materials: faience. Function: vessel. Date: 664–525 BC, Late Period, 26th Dynasty, Egypt. Height 17.5 cm +1.5 cm base, width 13.7 cm, weight 0.37 kg., A smooth oval vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim standing upright against a plain gray background, the vessel showing a predominantly greenish-blue patina with areas of lighter green and faint brownish spots; a vertical raised band runs along the front of the body with shallow incised shapes, and a small slit-like opening appears near the base of the neck; the vessel rests on a transparent stand that is partially visible and the overall lighting casts a soft shadow on the backdrop.
