Ankhren's shabti, Ankh-ren name. Mummy-shaped figurine, funerary shabti, standing on a base and supported at the back by a pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest, holding hoes in both hands; in the right hand also a string suspending a basket over the left shoulder. Convex tools. Smooth three-part wig, ears uncovered, facial details slightly blurred with large eyes, proportionate nose, straight long beard. Inscription engraved in a column on the front of the legs: The word spoken by Osiris Ankh-ren .... Date: 664–30 BC; Late Period–Ptolemaic Period. Provenance: Tuna el-Gebel. Type: shabti. Height: 10.8 cm., A small vertical statuette of a standing human figure shown in profile against a neutral gray background, primarily green with areas of lighter green and pale turquoise patina and some brownish and tan weathered spots, with a smooth elongated form, a defined head and facial profile, a long cloak or garment that drapes down the back, subtle indications of arms and a torso, surface pitting and textured irregularities, and a flat rectangular base in similar green and brown tones.
