Mahes figurine, Mahes mythology. Uraeuses. Figurine of a walking ithyphallic male figure with a lion's head. On the head is a tripartite wig with a solar disk and a large uraeus. The left hand grasps the phallus; the right is raised upwards. A hanging ring is attached to the back. Roman Period, Egypt. Terracotta figurine. Height 6 cm, width 2.1 cm., A roughly vertical, irregular shaped object with a textured, pitted surface that appears metallic and weathered, showing patches of green, brown, dark gray, and hints of lighter gray; the object has a few protrusions and rounded nodules, an opening near the upper portion, and a split toward the lower end forming two leg-like extensions, all set against a plain light gray background.
