He wears an olive tailcoat or frock coat, black vest, black cravat with long ends fastened with a gold pin; gold chain and lorgnette. Background at right: reddish drapery and a column; sky with dark clouds. Miniature, 1848, height 12.8 cm, width 10.5 cm. Frame: gilt bronze, two frames with a half-bay leaf motif. Inscribed along the shore: Marszalkiewicz., A framed painted portrait of a man shown from the chest up wearing a dark green coat and a black cravat over a white shirt, with a dark waistcoat and a chain visible on his vest; he has pale skin, dark hair styled with sideburns, and a slight smile. The background shows a draped curtain in shades of red and a column area in pale blue and gray. The frame is ornamental and gold colored with decorative edging.
