Bust 3/4 left, low gray wig smoothly combed up, white cravat and jabot at the neck, sapphire tailcoat with red collar and gold embroidery at the edges, red waistcoat. Background brown on the left with a pale oval gilt-bronze border on the right frame was part of a larger whole. Inscribed/dated De Meys/1783, 1783. Miniature, height 4.2 cm, width 3.4 cm., An oval portrait miniature set in a thin gold frame shows a light-skinned person with powdered hair in pale white and gray tones, pale blue eyes, and a neutral expression. The subject wears a blue coat with a red collar and red inner garment, both trimmed with pale gold decorative edging, and a white cravat at the neck.
