Shoulder-length blond hair with fringe, black skullcap; wide white gauze collar trimmed with lace; black clothing; Order of the Golden Fleece on a gold chain. Olive background. Oval miniature, height 15.5 cm, width 11.3 cm; gilded bronze binding with spirally twisted roller imitating a rope possibly 19th century. Inscription on the reverse in light oil paint 19th century: ...Wadyslaw IV / born in Lobzów 1595. Korono.../ in Kraków 1633+ / in Merecz 1648. Portrait in the type of Dankers de Ry 1646 known from an engraving by Willem Hondius; difference is the armor., An oval painted miniature set in a twisted metallic frame shows a portrait of a person with shoulder-length light brown hair and a short mustache and goatee, wearing a small dark cap and a black garment with a white lace collar; the face has light skin tones with reddish areas on the cheeks, the eyes look forward, and a gold chain with a pendant drapes across the dark clothing; the background is a muted yellowish-brown, the frame appears silvery, and the overall palette includes shades of brown, black, white, gold, and gray.
