Subject: men, male portrait, soldier, commander of the Napoleonic campaigns 1795–1815, Duchy of Warsaw 1807–1815. Insignia: Order of the White Eagle, Virtuti Militari. Pose: bust left, head turned right. Appearance: brown hair smoothly combed back from forehead and temples; blue eyes; white shirt collar and jabot; black cravat; navy blue uniform with magenta lapels and collar, silver buttons and epaulettes. Background: dark gray. Technique/format: miniature; silver rim set on two beveled crystal glass plates, binding shared with another miniature; height 6.1 cm, width 5.0 cm. Date: 1810.
