Portrait, three-quarter bust right: grey wig with black bow at the back, white collar and ruffled jabot, white vest, dark rusty tailcoat. Background olive, lighter on the right. Inscription on old inventory card notes attribution and placement in sacristy of the church of St. John the Divine. Also referenced as a small miniature version, height 3.7 cm, width 2.8 cm. Subjects/themes: architecture, men, Polish male portrait; depiction of Stanislaw Duke of Masovia; 1501–1524 noted in associated references., A small oval portrait set into a square dark green velvet background shows a light-skinned person with powdered gray hair styled back, wearing a deep red coat and a pale ruffled cravat; the portrait is rimmed with a thin gold border and the surrounding area includes shades of dark green from the velvet and a neutral light gray background around the square.
