Background: sky near the head, lightly underlined with blue. Rectangular mahogany frame with oval cutout and hanging ring. Miniature, height 14.7 cm, width 10.8 cm., An oval portrait of a man with light blond hair and a mustache set in a rectangular dark reddish-brown wooden frame with a small metal hanging loop at the top; the man wears a dark uniform with a high red collar and gold fringed shoulder epaulettes, and several metallic medals and decorative elements on his chest; the background inside the oval is a pale beige with soft bluish-gray shading behind the head.
