Miniature, height 11.4 cm, width 9.3 cm. Creator unknown amateur. Subjects: women, rulers; styles: portraits, profiles, female portrait, foreign miniatures., A framed portrait of a woman shown in profile against a dark background, the woman wearing a light-colored dress with decorative trim and a bow at the front, and a tall, textured headdress with layered ruffles; her hair is swept back and styled into a low roll at the nape. The frame is rectangular with worn gilded and white-painted areas showing cracks and chipping, and it has two round metal hanging rings at the top. Visible colors include shades of gray, black, white, beige, gold, and a hint of pink on the woman's cheek and lips.
