Coats of arms: Pólkozic, Topór. Subjects/themes: women, nobility, family, amateurs; portraits of women; en face portraits; bust, turned 3/4 to the left. Description: silver-white wig decorated with pale ash-blue flowers; head wrapped in a transparent veil; around the neck a white veil interwoven with a narrow red ribbon; on the shoulders a fragment of a red cloak with ermine fur visible. Medium: miniature. Frame: gilded bronze. Date: 1790. Place of origin: Poland. Dimensions: height 3.1 cm, width 2.5 cm., A rectangular ornate frame with a decorative bow at the top holds a panel with a metallic gold surface and beaded inner border; within the panel are a few oval portrait miniatures set into raised circular bezels, showing busts of individuals with powdered hair and period clothing in colors including red, blue, white, and dark tones, and a central larger portrait of a person wearing pale clothing and a high powdered hairstyle; the bezel arrangement is symmetrical around the center and there are also small floral rosette ornaments and a pair of heraldic shield reliefs in gold; overall colors visible include gold, white, red, blue, black, gray, and flesh tones.
