Portrait of Katarzyna Hlebowicz, née Radziwill 1613–1672, unknown Polish painter. Oval portrait with a laurel wreath inscribed within the painting's rectangle. Within the oval: half-length, turned three-quarters to the left, a slender grey-haired lady in costume of the early 17th century: a white ruff raised from behind under the chin, a red dress with a wide bodice, front slit with white lapels, sleeves decorated with triangular teeth on the shoulders, a yellow and red underskirt with wide floral-patterned sleeves fastened with a row of small buttons. In the hair: an oval jewel on the crown and a headband of precious stones. Dark gray, plain oval background. Portrait leans on the back of a black eagle with spread wings, wearing a ducal mitre, with the Traby coat of arms on its chest and the Dabrowa Kiszków coat of arms in its beak. In its claws it holds a white ribbon with a four-line Latin inscription in capital black letters. In the lower corner in white paint: N 200. Date: 1733–1737. Medium: painting. Dimensions: height 107.8 cm, width 73.4 cm., A framed painted portrait of a person with pale skin and light-colored hair styled up, wearing a large ruffled collar and a red and brown garment; the face is centered inside an oval wreath with brown and gold tones, and a dark background surrounds the figure. A group of decorative elements in dark blue and black appear below the figure, including a curved winglike shape and two small shield-like motifs with muted colors. The frame is wooden with warm brown tones, and the overall palette includes shades of brown, red, gold, dark green, black, and pale cream.
