In the center a nearly nude figure with a crown made of thin twigs stands with hands bound and a cloth draped around the waist, skin tones of pale beige and warm browns visible. To the right a robed man wearing layered garments in shades of pink, pale blue, and muted green gestures toward the central figure, his hair and beard depicted in gray and brown tones. Surrounding them are several onlookers with varied expressions, their clothing in deep reds, dark greens, and earthy browns; one figure in the foreground wears a garment with white and olive tones and a dark cap. The lower foreground shows hands and arms reaching up, skin tones ranging from light to tan, and a short section of a dark platform beneath the figures. Ornamental vertical panels in teal, blue, and gold flank the scene, and the background behind the group is predominantly dark.
