Several naked children with wreaths of flowers in their hair are gathered on the grass and among the tree branches; some are seated, one reclines on a red cloth, and a few are in the tree canopy. One child has small wings and a dark sash, while another holds a garland. The trees have dense green foliage and textured brown trunks, and the sky behind them shows areas of blue and soft golden and gray tones. A dark draped cloth and a golden-bound book lie on the ground near the reclining child, and a wooden swing or plank hangs from a tree branch. The whole scene is framed by a brown painted frame.
