In the middle distance there are clustered buildings and towers in earthy brown and ochre tones set against rolling hills and a pale sky with soft blue and warm yellow clouds. In the foreground a dirt road winds past figures and animals: a group of people wearing garments in muted reds, blues, and browns stand and walk, some near a cart drawn by dark horses, others leading a white horse. A few dogs move near the people. Vegetation in the foreground includes bushes and grasses in deep green and brown, and a tree trunk with textured bark appears on the right in darker brown. Overall the colors visible include brown, green, blue, yellow, ochre, red, and black.
