Figurine of Venus mythology, Marcolini's period 1774–1814. Porcelain sculpture/figurine, 18th/19th century, Meissen, Saxony. Depicts a young naked woman with long hair parted and arranged in a kind of crown; she stands in contrapposto by a fluted column cut at thigh height on a square plinth, slightly leaning forward, supporting with her hands the fabric falling from her left thigh, heavily draped and falling down the back along the column; she takes a step as if descending from a plinth onto a flat four-sided base. Height 25.4 cm; base width 10 cm; base length 12 cm., A white statue of a nude female figure leaning forward with her hands resting on a fluted cylindrical pedestal draped with cloth, the figure standing on a square base with one foot slightly extended, against a smooth gray background; visible colors include white and shades of gray.
