Ring, Doreau, Romain fl. 1848–1863, jeweler. Oval gold ring with a band that widens slightly and has diagonal notches. Divided by strips of black enamel into four fields, each containing two alternating turquoises and two half-pearls. Along the ring's underside, a tube with an oculus containing nine visible portrait photographs from the 1850s. Paris, France. Jewelry. Height 1.2 cm; width 2 cm; depth 2.2 cm., A close-up image of a circular metal ring displayed against a solid gray background, showing a thin gold band with engraved linear patterns along its sides and a decorative bezel at the top; the bezel has a domed central element and a surrounding design that includes a few small round cabochon stones in turquoise blue and several pale silvery-gray beads, with areas of darker black detailing within the decorative top.
