Silver egg, smooth, composed of two opening halves on a hinge, cut vertically; one part with an enameled bouquet of forget-me-nots; gilded interior with an octagonal basket for embedding a missing surprise. Egg supported on a four-legged stand. Date: 1890s, St. Petersburg. Decorative object. Height 11.4 cm; width 6.6 cm; depth 6.6 cm; weight 233.5 g., An oval object with a metallic gold surface sits on an ornate gold-toned stand; the front of the oval has a painted floral arrangement featuring green leaves and white bell-shaped flowers with hints of pale blue, and there are areas of darker green and a touch of blue and yellow in the lower leaves, all set against the warm gold background, with the stand showing intricate scrollwork in a matching gold color.
