Vase with lid, Prószków Slaski faience factory; 1763–1853. Egg-shaped soup tureen with a lid in the form of a flattened ellipsoid/hemisphere. Handles of vase and lid formed as two crossed ribbons. Decorated with small painted floral projections and large bouquets of multicolored flowers; on both sides of vase and lid are bouquets with a pink rose. Handles adorned with vermilion daisies with large green leaves. Rim of vase and cover painted brown. Ca. 1785. Province of Silesia 1742–1918; Silesia, Prószków Slaski. Vessel. Height 25.5 cm; length 35.5 cm., A white ceramic dish with a lid and handles is shown from above, featuring a crossed pair of raised ribs on the lid; the surface has painted floral decorations in green, pink, orange, and yellow with touches of pale blue and brown brush marks on the ribs, and the background is a pale gray.
