Candlestick, Prószków Slaski faience factory 1763–1853. Candlestick in the shape of a polygonal baluster supported on a wide, round conical base with a wavy edge. Painted in color. On the foot are two miniatures with landscapes featuring architecture; oblique projections of twigs on the shaft. Circa 1770–1783. Prószków Slaski, Silesia Province of Silesia. Height 18.2 cm; width 13.0 cm., A top-down view of a white ceramic cup and saucer set with a scalloped rim and hand-painted landscape scenes. The saucer shows a painted cottage scene with trees and a small building in green, brown, red, and blue hues, mirrored on opposite sides; there are a few green brushstrokes and a thin brownish-gold line around the scalloped edge. The cup sits centered on the saucer, showing its circular interior with a worn brownish edge and a muted pale green inside. The background is a flat light gray.
