Candlestick, Prószków Slaski faience factory active 1763–1853. Candlestick in the shape of a polygonal baluster supported on a wide, round conical base with a wavy edge. Painted colorfully; on the foot are two miniatures depicting landscapes with architecture and oblique projections of twigs on the shaft. Late 18th century, circa 1770–1783. Silesia Province of Silesia. Prószków Slaski. Candlestick; height 18.2 cm, width 13.0 cm., A white ceramic candlestick with a tall, slender, turned shape and a flared base, decorated with small green leafy sprigs and simple painted foliage; the base shows additional hand-painted green and brown landscape-like motifs and a thin brown rim, and the overall colors visible are white, green, brown, and a touch of pale blue.
