Analogous decoration on the lid, radial, in a four-part arrangement; handle a plastic flower with a branch. ca. 1770/1780, Berlin, Germany; vessel, vase., An oval porcelain covered dish with a domed lid and a decorative knob shaped like a flower bud sits against a plain gray background; the dish is predominantly white with extensive gold-painted scrollwork and edging, pale green accents, and painted floral motifs in purple, pink, blue, red, and orange; the lid and body show a pattern of elongated green stems and small blossoms, and the handles on each side are curved and trimmed with gold and touches of purple and green.
