Tin-mounted tankard, Prószków Slaski faience factory 1763–1853. White cylindrical tankard in a pewter mount. On the front is a depiction of an obese musician playing a double bass, shown in vigorous movement. The musician wears a yellow jacket, purple pantaloons, and a lilac hat with a yellow brim. Floral sprigs on the sides. On the tin cover engraved CGH/1811. Late 18th century. Province of Silesia 1742–1918; Silesia; Prószków Slaski. Vessel. Height 24.0 cm; width 15.0 cm; depth 9.5 cm., A ceramic stein with a metal lid and base, mostly cream colored with painted decoration, shows a painted figure wearing a yellow top, pink pants, purple and yellow headwear, and black shoes while holding a red stringed instrument, with additional small floral motifs in green and pink on the body; the lid, hinge, thumbpiece, and base are metallic gray, and the handle is the same cream color as the stein.
